Figured out how to change the "edit-me" links, LOL

Just updatin' a little bit. I added links to my xanga blogs. I mostly keep this account so I can comment on my blogger friends.

Oh God, Say It Isn't So!

I was browsing blogs & I came across a really cool fashion blog where the guy has posted a lot of photos he's taken of people on the street...who, according to him, have good fashion taste/instinct. Some of the outfits were really interesting. It was NYC, after all. But one thing has me horrified. Terrified, really. Something I've dreaded as an adult as much as I dreaded bell-bottoms as a 12 yo in 1983: The return of stretch pants and tapered ankles. AAAAAHHHHH! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! EVERY WOMAN FOR HERSELF!!!!!

Really. I mean, yeah, yeah, I've seen the hip young things in mags dressed to the teeth in the most garishly over-kill retro-80's stuff. It's just scary seeing it on people who look like they should know better. KWIM? As a matter of fact, I was just thinking this week how awful and mean-spirited toward women with a figure the fashion "gods" must have been to come up with a fashion that accentuates big thighs. Ugh. With fashion like that headed our way, who needs horror flicks?

Argh

I wanted to try another go at blogger, since I have friends here, but I find it really confusing. Can I add friends? How? :?

Blogger vs. Xanga

Ok, some problems I'm noticing with Blogger:
1) I can't figure out if you can subscribe to other people's blogs.
2) I don't like how my blog is connected to people who like the same movies as me, etc. I'm not here for a dating service, but I do like putting my favorites out there.
3) It doesn't seem as easy to personalize the look of my blog as on xanga.
4) It doesn't look like you can set up or join "blogrings".

Some things I like:
1) the professional look, as already noted
2) Links to other blogs-of-interest are included by one simple click.
3) I don't have to be a paying subscriber to have a list of links.

Antioch Abouna: No Fear

This is my first post

I normally blog on xanga. All my friends do. Someone drew my attention to blogger today & I think it looks more professional than xanga, so I'm giving it a test drive. So far it's a little more confusing to set up.
